Man charged with stealing £4 worth of beer

A man has been charged with robbery over the theft of £4 worth of lager from a shop in Bevendean.

Ashley Hill, 21, of Taunton Road in Brighton has been charged in relation to an incident on Thursday 13th October at a convenience store on Upper Bevendean Avenue.

He is accused of stealing four cans from Happy Shopper, which 48 hours earlier had been robbed by two people, during which the shop keeper suffered minor injuries inflicted by a knife.
