Witnesses sought after cyclist, 72, injured in Hove crash

A cyclist has been injured in a collision with a car on Northease Drive in Hangleton this morning.

The 72-year-old was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with serious injuries following the collision which took place just before 11am at the junction with Hangleton Lane.

He was hit by a Peugeot saloon car, which was being driven by a 67-year-old woman from Brighton, who was not injured in the collision.

Road closures were put in place as police and the emergency services attended in the scene.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision and the public can call 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Lanyard.
