Pedestrian seriously injured in Lewes Road collision

A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after being hit by a car on Lewes Road in Hanover on Friday 8th July.

The 44-year-old man from Brighton was hit by a Fiat Doblo shortly before 8pm at the junction with Hanover Crescent.

The injured man was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital with serious head and leg injuries.

The driver of the fiat, a 45-year-old man from Brighton, was not unhurt.
