Portslade man killed in Church Road collision named

The pedestrian killed after being hit by a car on Church Road in Portslade has been named as 81-year-old Peter Roberts.

Robers, of Lansdowne Place in Hove, was hit by a Vauxhall Zafira car at 7.05pm on 11th November and died later in hospital from serious head injuries sustained in the collision.

The car was being driven by a 45-year-old man from Southwick.

Sergeant Huw Watts of the Road Policing Unit said: “I am investigating this tragic incident where Mr Roberts has sadly lost his life. I am appealing for witnesses to this collision to come forward and pass any information to the investigation team.”
