Police are hunting for a gunman after a teenager was threatened with a firearm while walking along the seafront between Brighton and Hove on Sunday morning (28th August).
The victim was walking along King’s Road, near to the West Pier, shortly after 5am when he was approached by a chubby man in his early 30s who pulled out a gun and demanded money.
The 17-year-old refused and ran away. A small handgun was later found in the area and tests are being carried out on it to see if it is linked to the incident.
The attacker is described as white, of chubby build and around 6ft. He had a local accent and was wearing a black zip-up hooded jumper with a white t-shirt underneath. He was also wearing a black beanie hat.
Detective Sergeant Mark Cullimore of Brighton and Hove CID said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the offender walking in the area shortly before or after the incident.”
