Residents around Wild Park in Brighton are demanding to know when travellers will be moved on from the large parkland in Moulsecoomb.
Almost 30 caravans have been located at the foot of Wild Park, near to the edge of Lewes Road, since 14th August after the group of Irish Travellers and English Gypsies left Ladies Mile.
A large amount of fly-tipping has taken place at the front of the park and Sussex Police are currently investigating.
It is not the first time travellers have set up at Wild Park and it follows similar instances in the city this summer which has left the council playing a running battle with the traveller community while their search for a permanent home continues.

The Conservatives in the city have been vocal in their frustrations at the traveller situation and Brighton Kemptown MP Simon Kirby has written to the council to ask when the latest community will be move on
Mr Kirby said: “Following the unauthorised incursions that took place earlier in the summer, my constituents are telling me that they are very concerned at continued unauthorised traveller presence in the Brighton Kemptown constituency. I need to reassure my constituents by advising them when the travellers are to be moved on and I have asked the Council to advise me accordingly.”
Brighton and Hove City Council has confirmed that its legal team have been instructed to issue court proceedings in order to carry out an eviction.
