Charges follow Roedean squat fight

Three people have been charged following a fight at a squat in Roedean in which a man was assaulted with a hammer.

Six people were arrested after police will called to the disturbance in The Cliff early on Sunday evening (12th December).

Jamie Dimmick, 43, of no fixed address, is to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court today charged with affray, while Pawel Sobczak, 30, and Samantha Jeffcoat, 20, both of The Cliff, will appear before the court on December 23rd having been charged with affray and obstructing police respectively.

A 29-year-old man of no fixed address was also detained for court after failing to appear on warrant.

Two others were released without charge.

Police are to work with the owner of the property to deal with the problems arising from the squat.
