The armed robbers who targeted the Co-op store in Lustrells Vale, Saltdean, yesterday lunchtime (4th July) were caught on CCTV as they forced a security guard to hand over a cash box containing thousands of pounds.
The image shows the duo wearing motorcycle helmets after they entered the shop around midday.
One man, who was armed with a handgun and was wearing a distinctive red and white helmet, confronted two security guards as they delivered cash for the cash machine.

Another man drove a motorcycle onto the pavement and entered the shop armed with a crowbar.
After obtaining a cash box both men left the scene after the female security officer inside the man activated an alarm as they attempted to gain access to the vehicle.
Nobody was hurt in the incident, which took place while a number of shoppers were in the area.
DS Julie Greenwood said: “Although the security guards were threatened with a firearm they were not injured. There were a number of people seen entering this store who we would like to trace along with anyone who saw a black motorcycle in the area being driven suspiciously with a rider and pillion passenger.
“The rider of the motorcycle was wearing a black sweat top and dark jogging bottoms and a black helmet. The other man was dressed in jeans, a black jacket and wore a red and white motorcycle helmet.”
