Varndean sex attack suspect remanded in custody

The man charged with having sexually assaulted a woman in her Brighton flat has been remanded in custody following an appearance at Brighton Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Napindi Palu, of Bethnal Green in London, has been charged with three sex offences in relation to the sexual assault of a woman in her 60s in a flat on Varndean Road, Brighton in the early hours of Wednesday 4th of May.

Palu, who was arrested on Friday 6th May, is accused of committing two counts of sexual assault and one count of trespassing with intent to commit a sexual offence.

He has been remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Lewes Crown Court on 22nd July.
