Whitehawk youth group lose money cancelling trip after London riots

A Whitehawk-based youth group was forced to cancel a planned trip to London yesterday due to the riots in the capital.

Crew Club, a youth and training centre based in the Whitehawk Estate, had planned to take youngsters on the London Bridge Experience and Ripper Tour in London.

However, as trouble escalated the trip was cancelled with the loss of hundreds of pounds.

The group has asked for donations to help rearrange a new day trip later in the summer and more than £150 has already been donated.
