Duke of York’s picturehouse will this evening be showing the UK Premiere of the critically acclaimed Brighton Rock.
The performance at the UK’s oldest working cinema will be attended by director Rowan Joffe and the film’s stars Sam Riley and Andrea Riseborough.
The film, which also stars Dame Helen Mirren, is an adaptation of the classic Graham Greene novel and is set in 1960s Brighton, although much of the filming was carried out in Eastbourne.
However, Madeira Drive, beach huts on Hove promenade, Ship Street, Duke Street, Prince Albert Street, Blaker Street, Carlton Hill and White Street all feature in the must-see film.
