Places to eat in Brighton: Metrodeco

News From Brighton is highlighting places to eat in Brighton and Hove each day to celebrate the latest Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival. Today’s offering is the Kemp Town cafe Metrodeco.

This Upper St. James’s Street cafe, whose owners are well known online through Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare, is renowned for its decor and adored for its cakes. It is a strong candidate as the number one tea shop in Brighton and Hove and its reputation and fan club is growing all the time.

Metrodeco describe themselves as”the UK’s only 1930s Parisian-style tea shop”. They boast that “you can enjoy refinement and luxuriate in opulent surroundings” while you enjoy one of their 18 blends of tea, many of which you can also purchase direct from Metrodeco.

You can browse their menu online and while you are there why not view some of the mouthwatering afters, but to avoid disappointment you should ring ahead to book a table as this is a cafe you want to stay at and take your time with.
