Fat Boy Slim to perform at the Amex

Fat Boy Slim, aka Norman Cook, will be holding two gigs at the American Express Community Stadium next summer.

The Brighton-born DJ is to announce the news to Brighton and Hove Albion supporters this evening before the Seagulls’ match with West Ham United.

The gigs are to be held at the new stadium in Falmer on Friday 1st June and Saturday 2nd June 2012.

Fat Boy Slim, who is married to Zoe Ball and lives on the Hove seafront, has previously performed gigs attended by hundreds of thousands of fans on Brighton Beach.

Tickets have been made available to American Express card holders this morning before being made available to the public.

An announcement by American Express read: “This is no ordinary day at the seaside; previous Fatboy Slim gigs have seen crowds of up to a quarter of a million descend on Brighton Beach, so demand for tickets will be very high. American Express Preferred Seating is offering Cardmembers access to tickets before they go on sale to the general public.”

It is expected the gig will be the first held at the American Express Community Stadium.
