Pupils from a school in Woodingdean have joined forces with Roedean firefighters to help get across essential road safety messages to drivers and pedestrians.
A poster designed by Brooklyn Kennard, a pupil from Year Six at Rudyard Kipling School, has been unveiled on the back of one of the fire engines.
The initiative is designed to get the message across to youngsters of the dangers of using a mobile phone, speeding and drink driving. It is hoped children will have a huge influence over their parents and can change their bad driving habits.
The children’s teacher, Miss Monks, said: “The firefighters have been brilliant and it’s a great opportunity for the students, as well as learning about fire safety and road safety. It has been a really great experience for them.”
