A rally is to be held at Hove Town Hall next week in opposition to proposed cuts to public sector pensions.
The event, which is to start at 5pm on Tuesday 15th November, has been organised by Brighton & Hove Unison.
Caroline Lucas MP is to speak at the rally, as is Labour’s leader in the city, Councillor Gill Mitchell and Unison representative Heather Wakefield.
A statement on Facebook said: “Brighton & Hove Unison have organised this pre-strike rally to put the facts about our pensions to the public and hear about how we can spread support for the strike and how it ties in with the campaign against the cuts.
“Please come along to show your support and find out what you can do to help.”
