Manchester City duo arrive in time for Liverpool cup tie

Two Manchester City youngsters have joined Brighton and Hove Albion in time to be in contention of facing Liverpool in the FA Cup this weekend.

Albion boss Gus Poyet secured the arrival of long-term targets Abdul Razak and Gai Assulin to bolster his midfield options ahead of some key games for the club in both the cup and the Championship.

The pair have been allowed to leave the Premiership leaders on loan following the return from African Cup of Nations duty of Yaya and Kolo Toure.

Razak, who is also from the Ivory Coast, has played five times for Roberto Mancini and has also previously had a loan spell with Portsmouth.

Assulin, an Israeli international, is a product of the famed Barcelona youth academy, but is yet to play first team football in England.

Razak will stay with the club for the rest of the season, while Assulin has arrived on an initial one-month loan.

Brighton and Hove Albion play Liverpool for the second time this season on Sunday. The clubs meet at Anfield in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
